Sri Lanka Celebrates Two National Costume Victories

Sri Lanka secured the Best in National Costume award at two major international pageants held in October.

Sandeepa Sewmini won Best National Costume with her 'Mayura' inspired creation at the 43rd Asia Pacific International pageant in the Philippines, while Chethana Jayakodi won the same award with her 'Sanni Yaksha' inspired costume at the 4th Universal Woman pageant in Cambodia.

This marks the first time Sri Lanka has won the Best National Costume award at both pageants. Both costumes were designed by Chanuka De Silva.
