At a Christmas Market in 2024, someone asked me whether I could repair a door panel that had smashed. I said no, as I worked with the Tiffany Method of stained glass. Well, since then I've been learning, with the help of online tutorials and support from a lovely stained glass artist in Ireland, how to build stained glass lead lights using traditional methods. I haven't shared much of it on here, but I am just so proud of this transom piece I created for lovely clients in Port St Mary. Designed entirely in collaboration with them earlier this year and recently installed. It perfectly fits with the beautiful original architectural elements in their home and I am very grateful to them for entrusting me with this commission 😊

My second piece for the Mitchoorys (Mischief) Exhibition by the Pink Seaweed Gallery at the Hodgson Loom-Gallery is this mesmerising mandala-esque piece.

'Dance of the Shoals' encompasses subtle luminescent fish swimming in opposing concentric circles through green/blue waterglass, centred by a handblown glass roundel. The glass choices play with the light, offering different experiences depending on the viewing direction and available light source.

Personally I love how the water appears to move as you pass it, and I affectionately call this piece my 'Ode to Kate' because of my love for Kate Summerville Art and her shoal pieces.

This will be on display until the 18th July, along with many other beautiful pieces in this triumph of an exhibition.

Tomorrow marks the start of the Pink Seaweed Gallery exhibition at the Hodgson Loom-Gallery (unless you were an eager beaver and went to the special preview this evening).

My first piece for the Mitchoorys (Mischief) exhibition is this stunner.

"Divided Light" is created as a replica of the window in the popular Netflix series "Wednesday", illustrating that the same light shines differently through different people. Despite differences, people can unite, accentuating each other perfectly. Made using pieces of discontinued (rare) glass, and hot pink glass which was specially fired in a kiln for me by Debs at Isle Be Creative 😘

Running through to the 18th of July, this exhibition is really worth a look.

These pieces are back from the Hodgson Loom-Gallery exhibition and hanging out in my studio waiting for a new home. They are each 12 inches in diameter, and are real statement pieces. Drop me a message if you are interested in purchasing before I send them to be shown off elsewhere. Purchasing directly from artists always ensures the best prices, and you can know you are helping our little family and my kids' endless club fees 🤪❤️

It's a little early, but today we gifted this year's teacher's present. I didn't want to gift this one, and not because I love it too much (which I do), but because I didn't want it to mean we have to say goodbye to my son's teacher 😭 A teacher who joined the school in September, and has had such an impact that children were in floods of tears leaving her today.

We are so sad to lose such a great teacher, through complicated circumstances including the mess that is the rental market here at the moment. We are however, incredibly grateful to have had the chance to get to know her, and to see how she has guided and supported the students in her care. As parents we have felt her kindness and understanding through our children, and the growth they have shown this year.

You might be able to tell that this piece comes packed with emotion on my end. I designed and made it to reflect the sunshine she brought to my son and his classmates, whilst also reminding her of the island's green hills and blue waters. A subtle three legs etched in the corner to remind us all that "whichever way you throw us, we will stand". We hope she finds her way back to the island when the time is right, but we will always know that either way, she's been a part of our children's story that will stay with them for life ❤️

OK everyone, I've been really busy and also really rubbish at posting on the socials 😬

Just two weeks left to see my 12 inch honeycomb and oranges statement pieces in the fruit exhibition at the Hodgson Loom-Gallery, but in the meantime, how cute is this mini honeycomb?! 😍

These come in at £72 and I have three more bees in stock. If you'd like one, please just drop me a message. Will be approximately a 2 week make time due to other pieces currently on my bench.

Will it ever stop raining?! 🌧🌫💧

Thinking back to summer days when I'd stare endlessly at the blooming fuchsia and wonder how I could capture it in stained glass.

Mum used to pop these open and say they were dancing ballerinas. I have cherished memories of her teaching my children the same.

Happy to have developed this pattern, which manages to brighten even the greyest of days we're experiencing at the moment 😍
