Crossing Blue reflects on an extended state of movement, where things are not yet fully formed. Artistic practice, in this sense, becomes a process of transition, moving across contexts, transforming forms, and continuously redefining itself.”

We’re happy to share that AMS alumna Phan Le Thao Chi is part of this year’s Five Films for Freedom 2026 🌈🎬

The selected film, Sweat (Mồ Hôi) — produced by Thao Chi and directed by Edward Nguyen, is among five short films from around the world featured in the programme, delivered by British Arts in collaboration with British Film Institute.

It’s lovely to see a film produced by one of our alums included in this global selection.

The films are currently available to watch online for free worldwide from 18-29 March 2026, so feel free to watch and support the programme.

Congratulations to Thảo Chi and the team on this milestone 💛
