Most artists spend months on a track and then market it for a single day.
Release day gets one post, maybe a story, and then silence. Meanwhile the track needs seven days of attention to actually reach anyone. Not because the algorithm demands it, but because the people who would have supported you never got told twice.
Release week is a sequence, not an event. Monday is for direct messages, one by one, to everyone who said they would show up. Tuesday is for the story behind the song, because people share music they feel connected to. Wednesday is for your email list, the only audience you actually own. Thursday is for preparing your posts, because release day is not the day to start writing captions. Friday you drop it and reply to every comment, since engagement in the first hours decides how far it travels. Saturday you repost every story you get tagged in. Sunday you thank the people who showed up, by name.
None of this requires a budget or a label. It requires showing up for seven days instead of one.
Save this before your next release and share it with an artist who drops and disappears.
