P.J. Stalin, born on April 4, 1974, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, is a contemporary Indian artist known for his intuitive and emotionally resonant compositions. He received his formal art education at the S.V. College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad, where he completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), followed by a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) from the University of Hyderabad (Hyderabad Central University).
Stalin's artistic practice is rooted in strong design fundamentals-form, color, and composition are central to his visual language. His work reflects a belief that the simplest of forms can evoke the most complex emotions. Each piece emerges organically, without preliminary sketches. He begins spontaneously, and through a process of layering, allows the painting to evolve, nurturing various shapes and forms as the work progresses. His color theory is instinctive and immediate, often serving as the first point of connection for viewers.
Over the years, Stalin has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, art camps, and group shows alongside renowned Indian artists such as M.F. Husain, T. Vaikuntam, K.
