SWAP in Da Nang: March 14 (Sat), 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM 💫
SWAP is:
▪️ An exchange of good items you no longer need
▪️ A collection point for charity and recycling
▪️ A reason to meet new people, have fun, attend workshops, browse the market, and enjoy some pancakes 😍
Items for exchange:
✔️ Clothing and footwear: women’s, men’s, and kids’
✔️ All kinds of accessories
✔️ Children’s toys
✔️ Cosmetics and perfumes
✔️ Small electronics (chargers, headphones, etc.)
✔️ Creative supplies (crafts, art supplies, etc.)
All items should be in good condition. You don’t have to bring anything to take something—this gives items a second life and extends their usefulness.
For recycling:
♻️ Batteries and accumulators
♻️ Wooden sticks, like sushi chopsticks (for decor)
For charity:
🐶 Pet food, bedding, or accessories (for an animal shelter)

🌿 How does SWAP work and why is it even necessary?

You show up with a bag of items you no longer need—clothes, books, toys, kitchen gadgets, or unused cosmetics—all in good condition.
Once you arrive, everything is sorted by category and laid out on tables. Then, the magic begins! ✨

You simply pick out what you like—no money, no bartering, no unnecessary small talk. If you find it, you take it. Want 3 items? Take them. Found 1 thing you actually need? Perfect. Didn't take anything at all? That’s also fine; the main thing is that you gave these items a chance at a new life.

💡 Why it’s cool:
— Savings: The benefit is obvious.
— Eco-friendly: It’s a powerful approach. Every item you extend the life of stays out of the landfill. This means less textile waste and less water and energy spent on producing new clothes.
— Community: Yes, it’s also a great reason to meet up, chat, and get inspired.

Statistically, it takes 2,700 liters of water to grow enough cotton for just one T-shirt. For a pair of jeans, it’s over 10,000 liters. When you grab something at a SWAP, you are genuinely saving the planet's resources.

📦 Whatever is left after the event, we sort and donate to charity or send for recycling. No landfills.

🧺 Come by, bring your friends, and let’s change the world bit by bit. Starting with a T-shirt is already a big deal.

Earth Cleanup Organization is an initiative that works every day to make the city have less trash and more people who genuinely help change the situation.

If you want to start taking concrete steps toward cleaning up the city and the planet — this is an easy first step.

At the meeting on December 6 (Sat) at 15:00, we’ll show how anyone can take part in environmental change without extra effort.

We’ll introduce you to LitterMap — a tool that allows you to:
– mark polluted areas in just two clicks;
– help us plan cleanups where they’re truly needed;
– take part in change every day, even if you don’t have time to join cleanups.

And for those who want to get more involved in cleaning Vietnam — and the entire planet — from trash, we’ll explain how to become part of our organization, join full-scale weekly cleanups, participate in large Cleanup events, and get involved in other real environmental initiatives.

Workshop: “Scratching Post Made from Cardboard Boxes”

Hi! My name is Jane — I’m a volunteer at a cat shelter and a cat owner. I live with three cats, and I also regularly foster cats.

Scratching is one of a cat’s most essential needs, and it’s very important to meet it. If a cat has nowhere to scratch, it starts damaging furniture or carpets, and it also suffers from not being able to express its instincts. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on store-bought scratching posts — you can easily make one yourself from regular cardboard boxes. And after the workshop, you can take it home!

If you don’t have a cat but still want to enjoy the workshop, you can make a scratching post and donate it to the Paws for Compassion cat shelter.
