We are delighted to be returning to perform in Tyrone for the wonderful John O'Neill Festival at the Galbally Community Centre on September 19th. This fabulous festival has workshops, concerts, sessions and it is organized by Claire O'Neill in honor of her fantastic dad John, a mighty accordion player.

Of course the band will be performing in great force, but we are so happy to be joined with some very special guests who have toured with us greatly over the years who are two giants - the great Don Stiffe and Heidi Talbot.

Today we are heading to Bee’s Wing Farm, Emo Village, Co. Laois to perform at the incredible Forest Fest 2026 sharing the Fleadh Stage with an outstanding array of talent!

The band is all geared up - Joanie Madden (flute, whistles, harmony vocals), Mary Coogan (guitar), Mirella Murray (accordion), Nollaig Casey (fiddle), Kathleen Boyle (piano, harmony vocals), Kate Purcell (Lead vocals, guitar) along with the amazing step dancing of Nathan Pilatzke

Galway Vs. Limerick Hurling Final is on today in Croke Park in Dublin.

Here's a video we shot featuring some of the players with two tunes Joanie composed for her father's hometown of Portumna, Co. Galway featuring the Irish Workhouse Centre - Portumna and the Portumna Hurling Team.

We are absolutely over the moon to announce that Cherish the Ladies has been named Musical Group of the Year at TG4's Gradam Ceoil—Ireland's premier celebration of excellence in traditional Irish music.

TG4 Gradam Ceoil was created to recognize, honor, and thank those who have played a significant role in supporting, nurturing, strengthening, and preserving the rich tradition of Irish music.

To receive this recognition after more than 41 years of sharing the music we love is an extraordinary honor. Since the very beginning, our mission has been to celebrate and preserve the rich tradition of Irish music passed down to us by our fathers and the generations before them, while bringing that music to audiences around the globe.

We are deeply grateful to TG4 for this incredible honor, to every musician, singer, dancer, crew member, and friend who has been part of the Cherish the Ladies family over the past four decades, and to the audiences, presenters, festivals, and concert halls around the world who have supported us throughout this remarkable journey.
