We are in NC and we are only three weeks away from “the end of summer” and going back to school so we are 100% embracing every second this weekend! We always keep a set of towels in our car and bathing suits for last minute water fun options!

Did you know we added “Surf City” to our Dino Towel Design for two reasons …. 1️⃣ The towel has a surfing dino on it and it seems like he would be from a town called Surf City and 2️⃣ Surf City is a real town that is local to us and we wanted to insert a little bit of us into the design! It’s our “hidden Mickey”!

With spring break knocking at our door I am dreaming of summer. 🏝️

What are your Spring break plans and how do you thrive during that time?

We are staying local because our school does not give a long break. We normally would visit our local beach, spring clean the yard and take a day to explore local tourist spots before tourist season hits. BUT this year calls for rain the ENTIRE spring break so instead we will spend some time decluttering some neglected indoor spaces, craft together, board games, and take a day trip to Myrtle Beach to explore some of their amazing indoor venues. My kids will spend an equal amount of time playing with us and “being bored” and we are okay with that. Sometimes we set an unrealistic expectation on ourselves that we need to provide entertainment to our children every waking hour and the truth is, there is no rule that says that. So parents, if you have set that rule for yourself, consider if it is a rule that can be rewritten for your parenthood journey, especially if it stresses you out. Find that balance between surviving spring/summer break and thriving!
