Wallace was a little concerned about the height of the snow this morning. He is a small dog and that was a lot of snow! . The first picture was in the morning and we got a few more inches after that. The second one was after I shoveled – I love my four day week, but the 10 hour days do not leave a lot of time of daylight to shovel. Thankfully, the snow was light and beautiful!❄️⛄️

I am really loving this frame! It’s the Duoframe by Ampersand and it is perfect for my little 6 x 6 cold wax paintings. Really well made and comes with hanging wire, hardware and even the hook for the wall- 💙 I might try the white one at some point…

We began with a whole day on “value” (light and dark)
I actually think that this is the thing that will change the way I think and approach painting – the first pic is of the value tool I created in class and then there are my random shots. This was not a class that resulted in a final product painting. Each day we began with drawing and movement and then went between lectures and practice building exercises. It was challenging, fun and took me right to the edge of my introverted ways, but I did it! ✅

These little guys are fun to make- glad for my encaustic practice as layering is old hat, but oils take so long to dry!

OK, it isn't Thursday, but this is definitely a nostalgic throwback - not sure why FB is feeding me these photos but I am kinda diggin' it. Way to repurpose a rhinestone belt in the back - Damn, I was good!

Still one of my favorite assemblage pieces. It was in a really cool cigar box and was a kind of shrine - glassed in front. I remember the lovely woman who purchased it. She sent me a picture of the piece, hanging in her house and it was a perfect fit!
