Start on the Street stART on the Street is Central MA’s largest art, music & performance festival. Visit stARTontheStreet.org for further info.

Created in 2002, stART has become one of Central Massachusetts’ premier cultural events. In addition to the flagship September festival, stART also hosts additional events – one in May on North Main and a holiday-themed event in December. Artists and crafters display and sell their works, from oil paintings jewelry and photography to ceramics, lithographs, quilts, and animation, and more we haven'

Local food vendors serve a variety of dishes - including vegan friendly options - as well as cultural organizations providing information about their programs. Our 2011 events attracted over 65,000 people - thank you all for supporting the local economy and buying handmade! stART On The Street is actively seeking artists and performers of all genres from all over New England as well as volunteers, food vendors and organizations!

It's going to be a hot and sunny one tomorrow, friends! ☀️ We strongly recommend you leave your furry friends at home where it's nice and cool. 🐶 While we LOVE your pups, the heat can be tough on them, and we want everyone to enjoy stART safely. So grab your water bottle, sunscreen, and a pal—just maybe not the four-legged kind this time! 😎

Time for a little FAQ rundown to make sure you’re all set for the big day!

🚘PARKING TIPS🚘
Although there is no specific parking area for stART on the Street, there are MANY side streets and small lots around Park Avenue.

⚠️Please be mindful of driveways, ramps, fire hydrants, and posted parking restrictions. TD Bank (295 Park Ave) is open on Sundays and may tow if their parking spaces are blocked.

Be patient, you’ll find a spot! And carpool if you can!

♿HANDICAP PARKING♿
There is handicapped parking available in the lot at 255 Park Ave. The only way to access this parking while stART is in progress is to take Hudson Street and turn onto Townsend Street. Townsend is usually a one-way street, but it will be open to two-way traffic while Park Ave is closed. Handicap plates/tags are required.

💲PAYMENT OPTIONS💲
Each vendor decides payment options for themselves. Some may take Apple/Google Pay, Venmo, Credit Card, Checks, etc. There are ATMs on-site too. We recommend bringing some cash if you can!

🐶PET-FRIENDLY?🐶
Team stART is made up of animal lovers, and while we won't prohibit dogs, they might be more comfortable at home.
