N.E.wear

N.E.wear Innovative jewelry made from acrylic paint skins, leaves and flower petals, found insect wings. My name is Nancy Franck and I make jewelry. Now you know.

If you want to learn more - keep reading. Otherwise, just know that the piece you own looks like no one else's - and never will. The Paint Drop line is made from acrylic paint skins. While I handle the paint, the resulting design is not influenced by my hand. Even by using the same colours twice, no two pieces will EVER be alike. The Khepri line is dedicated to the beauty of our winged insects. Th

e wings used for my jewelry have been found in our own garden or have been given to me. I will never capture, but when found, they very often become wearable art. The Petals & Leaves line captures nature by the use of dried flower petals and leaves. The OutSpoken line is made from recycled bicycle spokes. Kumies are a new line incorporating the ancient art of Japanese kumihimo. Milli, a spotted saddle horse, was the inspiration for our horse tail memory jewelry. The BADGE line is made from recycled guitar strings. Asana is a line of yoga poses made from artistic wire. TeeBags are reusable market bags made from gently-used t-shirts. They're durable, washable, perfect for the market or the gym. And best of all ~ they’re recycled. Welkin - The welkin is the apparent surface of the imaginary sphere on which celestial bodies appear to be projected. The zodiac is a belt-shaped region in the heavens on either side to the ecliptic; divided into 12 constellations or signs for astrological purposes. The possibilities in creating a piece of N.E.wear jewelry is as broad as the colour spectrum and as unique as the shape you can imagine. You may choose to purchase existing items or join me in designing the piece that will be perfect for you. N.E.day is the "fun - let's see what we can come up with" line. So far this includes upcycled vases made from lightbulbs. TeeBags, reusable market bags made from upcycled t-shirts. These pieces are available for purchase. If you like what you see but want it in a different colour, no problem! We can make that happen. "Kumies" are made from kumihimo braiding. Cedarfarm Lancelot GCH. "Lance" won multiple world titles in western and hunt seat. He was as kind as they come - from good old Morgan bloodlines. Lance was 23 years old when he passed. Even by using the same colours twice, no two pieces will EVER be alike. The Khepri line is dedicated to the beauty of our insects. The wings used for my jewelry have been found in our own garden or have been given to me. I never capture, but when found, I use them to create wearable art. The Leaves & Petals line captures nature by using carefully harvested and dried flower petals and leaves. OutSpoken pieces are made from recycled bicycle spokes. Kumies incorporate the ancient art of Japanese kumihimo. I use everything from fine wire to embroidery cotton to horse hair.

Milli, a spotted saddle horse, was the inspiration for the mane and tail memory jewelry. This precious mare was a joy to her family and I had the honour of creating a bracelet for her owner. The Kumihimo braiding technique is used to create these timeless beauties.

Asana (pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable) is defined as any of the yogic postures or movements, but literally translates to “pose” or “seat.” It's said that originally the only posture in yoga was a comfortable seat taken for long periods of mediation. These cute wire pieces are stylized yoga poses. The possibilities in creating a piece of N.E.wear jewelry is as broad as the colour spectrum and as unique as the shape you can imagine.
