Here's a picture of our July/August issue cover. It was designed exclusively for us by Becky Cassio - A BIG THANK YOU TO BECKY! WE LOVE IT!!! and hope you do it!

HERE'S THE CORRECT BIO:
Becky Cassio and her husband Marshall had a dream to turn their love and talent for art into a business that would bless whomever it touched!! In 1989 they did just that!! Choosing the business name "The Creator's Heart Designs" they began the adventure. Attending local art shows - they were selling everything they designed. Becky attended business school to learn how to run a small business. Marshall had majored in drafting and graphic design in school so he designed and printed their own catalogs. Becky's love for doll-making landed her a contract with the Museum of Folk Art in Manhattan, NY. They branched out to bigger shows-they juried for the Market Square Shows that enabled their designs to be sold in stores all over the United States, England and Australia! They attended these shows for 12 years. Marshall's love for wood had lead him to become an award winning Master Carver and his whimsey designs landed them in Country Business Magazine, and several art catalogs including Faith Mountain, Ohio Wholesale, Blossom Bucket, Hearts Inspiration for Kids Decor. Their wood carvings were chosen to be featured on a Market Square brochure that was sent out by the thousands. Marshall would brag on his wife Becky "that she brought all his designs to life" since she was the painter of the team.

Getting tired of mass production - ten grandkids later - and the "not as young as I use to be" time of their life - they decided to license some of the pieces they designed. They took their designs on the road to the south and nautical designs became their love.

In 2015 -Marshall passed away suddenly. His woodwork shop stood with half finished designs. Becky and Find Your Wings Designs (which they had changed their name to a few years later)... shut down.

Now, over a year later, Becky has dusted off her art studio - trying to go it alone. After 42 years of marriage and 35 years of a designing partnership - it hasn't been easy. But her passion still continues. "I still love messy hands full of paint, working with fabric and paper - and the smell of wood!! I get inspiration everywhere! With the encouragement of friends, family, and her faith, Becky is making her way back. "This is what I am called to do...create" she says. She is Finding Her Wings indeed. We thank Becky for her exclusive design for our cover - and we wish her well!

Been awhile since I posted on our business site. My other half and love of my life passed away Jan. 7th very suddenly. My world was shattered! I have not been able to think let alone create. We were partners in everything and this art business was Us not just me. I am trying to put one foot in front of the other and breathe... Pray for me fellow artisans and friends that Gods creative hand rest on me . Thank you for all the ones that have posted and had such kind words. Where do I go from here Lord...

Hey all artists and lovers of art!! Boy- got thrown for a loop!! Hubby had to have surgery to repair two hernias! Will be home for 6 weeks or so. Maybe he can get his carving orders done as he feels better. Just has to watch lifting. Also a wonderful old friend passed away from a 5 year fight with cancer. So this is life.... I did go through all my supplies in my closet. Got some new drawer storage containers. That makes it easy to get to the supplies. I had to lift these stackable ones I had off each other to get to anything because they opened from the top. Ugh!! That was not good. I was so excited to see supplies I forgot I had!! Lol! Planning on going to some Christmas art shows while Marsh is home. Love this season!!! Got a cool book made with all my business cards-emails contacts with notes
ect. -Of customers and potential customers plus Shoppes everywhere I love . I had cards all over so decided to get them in one place. So much easier to grab the book and email or call. Love it!! As you can see I am a super organized being! Lol. Have been modeling numerous clay faces- moons suns- nautical items - on and on to add to my mixed media art. So much better than buying these- that way its my art and has a unique look. Bought new canvas- and lots of new paper - stamps -ect. Can't believe how low on paper I was. Doing all this plus some fall decorating and cleaning . Got all our Christmas Shopping done too!!! Getting ready to wrap everything. So glad that's done. Nabbed all the super sales !! Wow no wonder I am tired. I guess I really am the energizer bunny. Lol!! BREATH!!!!! Marsh got a new bird feeder and loves watching the different birds while he's resting. We have had feeders for years but they seem to love this new one. He wants to carve some unique whimsy birds. There is inspiration everywhere. ! Have a great creative day all!!!

What's up fellow artists and lovers of creativity!! Been creating and getting ready for autumn our fav. Season! Marsh still working his Real job...lol. He works half a year usually. He has been enjoying his wood carving books and we have been spending weekends traveling to Ohio shows checking out trends ect. We still don't see a lot out there that we do. I decorate alitte for fall and making a fun swag to go over the door and few things for the porch. Went to the Amish sale and got some cool pumkins and gords. Will have it done tomorrow and will post pics. We are heading to Hartville flea market and sale today. Looking for some fun things to go with a soya steampunk meets whimsey style. Marsh was sharpening his carving knife set and creating New faces. Time to wood shop for him too. Have a super day and remember...create something!!!

Hey fellow artists and lovers of art!! Been a long busy summer -for us. Our trip to obx and Va. in August proved to be very production for sure. Yes we enjoyed the sand and lighthouses but we traveled from Corrola to Cape Hatteras visiting one art shop after the other to drum up business. People were so friendly and eager to see our samples . They gave us seashells and crabs shells and gave us the best advice. We got some NEW customers and orders. It was so inspiring to talk to people that loved the same thing we do ...ART!! All the ocean towns were so quaint and awesome. We were in Obx for three days then headed to Va. My hometown. We went to Quirks of Art in Williamsburg ...the most funky and fun store yet. Saw it in a business magazine and said...I have to go there and ...yes we did!! Working on some samples to send the owner. She gets so many submissions for her store-the manager told me- this was a way to wade through all that and get noticed!! I want to sell my art in this funky shop for sure!!. The owner was in New York at a show when we were there so didn't get yo show off my samples. Lol Of course I had to buy the store out while we were there.!! Pottery..paper art...fabric art...love it all!! So... been shopping for more supplies and getting my cards from stores organized ect. There is about 20 of them. All wanting different art from the other. Marsh and I are coming up with some unique products for sure. Will post soon. Have a creative tomorrow.!!!

Well its been awhile since my last update. It's summer! Been gardening and traveling. Waiting for our New grandbaby to be born- number 10! Marshall getting a knee replacement in Sept. Been designing for a few southern stores. Mostly stocking supplies- organizing my business ledger and getting my design patterns in order. Hate the business part of it all but so important. Also practicing my guitar! Singing with my son and some friends coming up on July the 26th at Hebrews coffee house. Could I be any more busy!! Will post some new items soon. Will post a pic. Or so of our little garden. Repainted my garden angel Marshall made long ago! Happy day all and keep creating!! .

Greetings! Busy and blessed week!y Marshall went back to work ...he is semi-retired..works 6 months or so of the year. Then we found our dream car and bought it...a 2013 Ford Taurus...with every option! We love the Sync and all the great stuff it has! Awesome!!!
