December's workshop at ALL WAYS Art Gallery.
Make this year's ornament, or have the workshop BE the gift. Meet new people! Cool people do stained glass!

You'll cut the glass, foil, and solder the project. You're welcome to make more than one, with time permitting!
A selection of glass will be provided.

November's Workshop at ALL WAYS Art Gallery.

I'm actually incredibly offended that there's no moth emoji.

As November rolls around I try not to get "the dread" as winter approaches,so I chose November's theme as the Luna Moth.

I wanted to imagine the Luna Moth as a symbol which invites quietness, stillness, and the longer days ahead. Also, around this time of year, if you didn't know... Luna moths rely on your yard's leaf litter to overwinter in their cocoons! So consider leaving your leaves for our moth friends (among others) to make a home. The Luna Moth pattern can be made three different ways and could be made as a hanging design OR a plant stake.

For this workshop, you will be selecting glass, cutting, foiling, soldering, and adding finishing touches onto your creation. Think of it like a stained glass masterclass

I wanted to take a moment to highlight this piece - really holds a special place in my heart. It was the second piece I ever made, and also the first design I created from scratch.

It's fun, playful, whimsical - honestly everything I actually NEEDED in my life at the moment. It is not a reflection of how I was feeling, but rather a manifestation.

And I think that's pretty cool and powerful that art can do that for us. It can be a reflection of who we are, or it can be a wish for ourselves.

I'll never sell this piece, it's iconic to me. It's a moment where I felt like everything kind of clicked.

Here's my Halloween contribution 🎃

Orange: [SOLD]
Purple stars: Available! (Free local delivery)

Inspired by vintage black cat Halloween decor, I had so much fun making this pattern, it's been in my head for a while.

The orange cat got some of the beautiful Kokomo Opalume orange which is discontinued and GLOWS so beautifully in the light. Then some selective black and silver patina and decorative solder detail.

The purple one... Look at all them details. Hand painted stars since the black and the purple glass look so similar when not backlit. Copper patina for the hat and bow. It is so witchy whimsical ✨ 🧙‍♀️

This is probably all that I'll have time to make this month that isn't a part of commission work and workshop prep. If you love it and you gotta have it, I might be able to squeeze one in - just let me know ASAP 🌝

Vintage Halloween cats are almost done.
One in Opalescent glass, one in Cathedral glass. I love seeing how the different opacities of glass complement the pattern!!

The purple I used on the one on the right almost looks black without backlighting so I added a whimsical star pattern- but wait till you see that glass in the light, the violet is gorgeous! I still have to bake the painted glass before I solder it.

The orange I used on the one on the left is that tictac orange Kokomo Opalume - discontinued and feels so special.

I'll reveal them in the light tomorrow but I was way too excited not to share! Original pattern by me ♥️
