Lions help meet the needs of local communities and the world. Our 1.35 million members in 206 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but we share a core belief - community is what we make it. Locally we help support the Wolcott, CT community with scholarships, sponsor five yearly blood drives, host ziti diners to help families in their time of need, supporting youth organizatio

ns like the Leos Club and most recently the Wolcott Youth Center, peace poster contest and supporting events like the Halloween DARE dance, supporting our senior citizens, donating and delivering food baskets around the holidays to families in need, and sponsoring the Winter Wonderland for the Wolcott community. We also donate to families and organizations that require financial support. On a state and international level we support the prevention of blindness and other eye related diseases through the Lions International Sight First program and Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation (CLERF). Together, with your help and support, we are able to make a difference in the lives many individuals.

A Father's Day Tribute for All Dads:

This Father's Day, we celebrate the extraordinary men who wear the badge of "Dad." They may not wear capes, but their strength, guidance, and unwavering love are a superpower all their own.

To the dads who rise before the sun: Thank you for your tireless dedication to providing for your families. Your early mornings ensure their dreams can blossom.

To the dads who offer a listening ear: Thank you for your patience, the wisdom shared during life's challenges, and the safe space you create for them to express themselves.

To the dads who hold a special place in our hearts, though no longer by our side, your absence may leave an ache, but the love you instilled in us burns bright. We cherish the memories we hold close and your lessons echo in our minds, guiding us through life's journey.

To all dads: Thank you for your laughter, your tears, your bad jokes (we secretly love them!), and your unwavering love. You shape our world, one dad joke and life lesson at a time. Happy Father's Day!

Wolcott Idol is Back!
We are looking for contestants to compete at this year’s Wolcott CT. Fair.
Singers will be competing for $1500 in prizes. This is a two- day competition to take place at the Wolcott Fair Grounds in the afternoons of Aug. 10th and 11th.

Wolcott, CT Thomas C. Centinaro Loving husband, father, brother, and uncle Thomas C. Centinaro, 67, of Wolcott, passed away in a tragic boating accident in Wilmington, VT. He was the beloved husband of Brenda Mordino Centinaro. Tom was born in Waterbury on February 3, 1957, son of the late Thomas

It is with a heavy heart that we have to share the sad news of the passing of Lion Tom Centinaro. Tommy was very passionate in serving his community and was a key contributor and member of the Wolcott Lions Club. He will be sorely missed. Please keep Tommy’s family and friends in your prayers.
