🧵😂 THE FIELD TRIP CONTINUES… AND SO DOES THE QUILT ENVY! 😂🧵

Part 2 of Mimi’s Quilting Cottage’s trip to the Washington State Quilters Quilt Show in Spokane!

I went for inspiration… and came home with approximately 347 new ideas, a longer quilting wish list, and absolutely no explanation for how I’m supposed to fit more projects into my life! 🤣🪡

The quilts were gorgeous, the creativity was off the charts, and the vendors made it WAY too easy to convince yourself that you really do need just one more thing for your sewing room. You know how that goes! 😉

A huge shout-out to the Threadsetters for putting on such a wonderful show and displaying these beautiful quilts so well! ❤️

Here are a few more favorites from the show. And don’t worry, there are still more to come!

Remember, calories don’t count when you’re feasting on quilt eye candy… and fabric purchases made in the name of inspiration don’t count either. Right?! 😂🛍️🧵

The Threadsetters did a fantastic job displaying all those beautiful quilts, and the vendor setup was wonderful, too! So much creativity, inspiration, and quilting goodness all in one place. ❤️

Here are a few of my favorites from the show! 📸 Be sure to watch for more quilt inspiration coming in the next few days.

Because let’s be honest… quilt eye candy is the BEST kind of eye candy! 😍🧵🪡

🦁 A ROAR-SOME FINISH! 🦁

Sometimes a simple panel quilt is all about letting the fabric do the talking! 🧵✨

This Lion King panel makes a bold and beautiful statement! The Time Warp edge-to-edge quilting pattern from Urban Elementz was the perfect choice to bring it all together. The flowing curves add movement and texture without taking the spotlight away from the beautiful panel.

Simple quilt top, spectacular finish! ❤️

🪿 Honk if you LOVE this quilt! 🧡❤️🖤

Sometimes one quilting design just isn’t enough!

Lynette had a vision for her beautiful goose quilt, and we were able to bring it to life with a little creative quilting magic! ✨

By using two different edge-to-edge quilting patterns—one for the colorful background and another for the goose—we created a semi-custom quilt that really makes this magnificent bird take flight! 🪶

The contrasting quilting textures add wonderful dimension while allowing the goose to remain the star of the show!

And the best part? It was exactly what Lynette wanted! ❤️

At Mimi’s Quilting Cottage, we love finding creative ways to make each quilt as unique as the quilter who made it!
