No racing for me this weekend as we are still waiting on the motor repairs. Really stinks to miss double features but hoping to be back to win the 75 lapper! Excited to get to the track and chase two trophies with my main man Chase Burgess!

Another race day has come and gone. It was certainly a very hot July 4th at the racetrack on Americas 250th birthday! We unloaded and shook the car down in first practice on old tires after changing the transmission on our off week. We timed 10th in first practice on a very greasy track but right away the car wasn’t running right and was breaking down on throttle. For second practice we put better tires on and went 3rd quick in practice but still the same breaking down issue. We searched and battled the car all day but unfortunately it just never would come out of it. I started p4 in heat one and what a heat race it was with the top 4 guys. Side by side clean racing but unfortunately couldn’t quite make any ground and finished p4. Started the feature p4 and again just fighting a car breaking down and made the car a little to loose to try and compete with the top 5. Around lap 25 the exhaust fell off again and I fought exhaust fumes and burning heels for the remainder of the race. Overall I think we could have finished much better but it just wasn’t our day. As always I can’t thank everyone who comes to support and help and bearing out the hot weather and we will try again in two weeks! Special thanks to Double Exposure Photography for the photos!

It’s that time of the week again! After finishing 9th two weeks ago and suffering a broken transmission we have been hard at work to find a replacement and get the car finalized for this weekend. One more night in the shop and the car will be fully back to 100% with a fresh setup to be ready for the 40 lap feature Saturday July 4th at 5pm. Along with the 40 lap late model feature there will also be strictly streets, modifieds, roadrunners, crown Vic’s, and a special visit from the pro trucks! Pit gates open at 1 and green flag flies at 5pm with fireworks after all the feature racing! You won’t wanna miss the action on Americas 250th birthday so show up loud and show up proud! See you all on Saturday!

June 20th Race Recap
After taking the last two weeks to change the bell housing and regroup from the last race we showed up Saturday ready to try again! We practiced on our coastal 200 tires and the car felt okay and was 3rd in both the practice sessions. I started 5th in the first heat and struggled a super tight car on the bottom but started to make good ground after trying the top. I fought hard and got to 3rd almost 2nd when contact from someone behind me got me out of shape and I lost some positions finishing I believe 8th. Before the feature we noticed a crack in my transmission and lots of fluid leaking. We quickly tried to JB Weld and tape it together in hopes it would hold. Results are in the photo below. In the feature I struggled with a very loose car (fluid leaking on tires) and did all I could do and managed a 9th place finish. Definitely hungry for more but felt good to run all the laps and get back in a rhythm. The work begins now for the next race on July 4th, Americas 250th birthday! You won’t want to miss it as we have an extended feature of 50 laps and I’m excited to get back. Thank you to everyone for sticking through this rough year but hopefully we can get it turned around soon!

After breaking a bell housing two weeks ago in practice the car is again fixed and ready for its next battle on Saturday. I’m really hoping the luck will turn around and we will have a good week! Along side our 40 lap late model feature there will be roadrunners, modifieds, and strictly streets as usual. Racing kicks off at 5pm and as always it’s only $5 in the stands and $20 in the pits! It’s looking like a beautiful day for race cars and we can’t wait to try our luck again. See you all soon!
