🎶 Summer Music Together... IN THE PARK! ☀️🌳

Summer is always a fun time for music-making, and this summer we're especially excited to be partnering with Winterset Parks & Recreation to offer Music Together in the Park for little musicians and their grownups!

Designed for children ages 0–4 and their grownups, this playful, research-based program is full of joyful music-making and family connection through:
🎵 Singing, dancing, and instrument play
🎵 Music from around the world
🎵 Developmentally appropriate activities for little learners
🎵 A warm and welcoming environment for families

☀️ Tuesday Morning Classes
⏰ 8:00am — Ages 0–2*
⏰ 8:30am — Ages 2–4
📆 June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & July 7, 21, 28
(No class July 14)

🌅 Wednesday Evening Classes

The Winterset Art Center gratefully acknowledges the financial support from the GMCCF for the restoration of our west studio building, a much-needed project.

You have seen his art and now John Counterman will instruct a class at the Winterset Art Center. John has an extensive teaching background, working with students of all ages and abilities. The problem-solving aspect of creating and helping students, find their avenue for expressing themselves is John’s motivation to teach.

GALLERY RECEPTION — THURSDAY, JUNE 4 AT 5:00 PM

We are excited to announce the In Flanders Fields gallery reception during the 2026 Iowa Quilt Festival. Join us Thursday, June 4 for drinks, appetizers, and an introduction to the exhibit, featuring the Cherrywood Poppy Quilt Challenge and Quilts of Valor. We are also excited to have Brady Pugh join us for a short patriotic performance.
