We thought we heard Christmas music in the studio.

SURPRISE!!! A holiday release is on its way to the streaming services! This is one of my favourite Christmas songs. Hope you like my arrangement. I really enjoyed producing this one and playing all the instruments. There is certainly no shortage of Christmas songs to choose from so I’d be absolutely delighted if this one found its way on your playlists this holiday season.

anemoia is on its way to you! It’ll be out March 21st on all major streaming platforms. This has truly been a great project and I’m excited to share these songs with you. A few things about this EP: like Frankie and Elvis (or Paul Anka if you prefer) I did it my way. I wrote, recorded and produced everything you hear on this EP. I had some fun with the bass lines, pushed for some guitar parts, layered in some background vocals, and did what I could with my piano and organ playing. For the production side of things it was recorded at (sh)Abbey Road Studios and I used (virtually) the TG12345 channel strip/console (the same one The Beatles used to make Abbey Road) from Waves Audio for mixing. All that to say, I’m really proud of these songs and the way they’ve turned out. I really hope you’ll take some time to give them a listen. Maybe several listens. Maybe even have a favourite or something. If you do, let me know.

Matt Weiser’s upcoming EP anemoia is wrapping up here at (sh)Abbey Road. Instrument tracking was completed today and we only have a few vocal sessions before we move to mixing and mastering.
