Making our world more colorful one tie dye at a time. Tie dyeing has become an essential lifeline for me. Thank you for visiting my page!

While my dyes may not be perfect, they embody the gratitude I feel for the beauty that surrounds me. A brain tumor robbed me of a lot, but I had some amazing, transformative experiences that allow me to appreciate life at a deeper level. I named this gratitude 'Super Deluxe Love.'
My sincere wish is for others to experience this love without facing overwhelming obstacles. However, if they do, I h

ope the vibrant colors can remind us that we are not alone, and people can surprise us pleasantly, and maybe things aren't that bad. Each item I create is made with love, one-at-a-time, accompanied by the melodies of either Michael Franti or Billy Strings. It's not that I don't enjoy other music; it's just that these two help me manifest those good tie dye vibes. These mandalas turned out so gorgeous! These are more from our pop up at mixxercommunitymakerspace last week; the artists who made them haven’t even seen them yet- we think they’ll be stunned at the beauty they created!

Dang! We should have gotten a group photo!

We had a pop up mandala tie dye workshop at our favorite place- mixxercommunitymakerspace! We are so grateful they let us make a big mess there this week!

We learned a lot and had so much fun. It was fascinating and gratifying to share our craft with makers in other disciplines!

Here is one of those artists, issiskellyp, who knocked that mandala outta the park! Isn’t she fabulous?

We felt all the feels collaborating with these fine people!

Here’s another inspirer- the incomparable Daphne Boogaard! This woman is a force of nature- when sh*t hits the fan, you can bet that Daphne is already organizing for people and stuff to get in there and fix it! And she does it while starting a new business. Most would be daunted, but this brave warrior princess can stare down any obstacle while maintaining a rigorous tour schedule. And lest we forget to mention, she also moderates Red Daisy Ladies, giving us a safe space, because sadly, it’s not all super deluxe love out there. Thank you, Daphne for living by example!

So here’s another one who deserves a shout out- Cory Boardman! We’ve never met this guy in real life, but look forward to his regular affirmations. Having found his happy messages on a Billy Strings site, he’s brightened up some dark times for us and for many. It took us decades to find the Super Deluxe Love that this kid just oozes! Thank you, Cory, for being awesome! Thank you Billy Strings herd for bringing awesome people together! Y’all remind us how lucky we really are!❤️

Why did we name the company Super Deluxe Love? Well, truth is, because we had signs that already said that. But it’s become much more. It’s that overwhelmingly wonderful feeling you get in certain magical moments and around certain magical people. Hard to describe, but easy to find if you look.

Here is an awesome example of Super Deluxe Love:

THIS GUY! There are people in our lives that make us want to be better people, but then there’s Davis, who makes us better.

Great example:
When Hurricane Helene hit, we didn’t know what we could do other than donate and worry. Not so for Davis: he hopped in his car and headed to the mountains, picking us up on the way. We chipped in at BeLoved Asheville, marveling at the resilience and sheer grit of the folks there. There was a magical energy that had everyone focusing on moving forward, inch by inch, task by task.

That’s this guy- plenty of people can show you how to be better, but he picks you up so you can be better, too. Thank you, Davis!

We know- it’s been forever since we posted…apologies. We still have the Super Deluxe Love, AND- despite all evidence to the contrary, we’ve been working our butts off! We’re just really bad at posting. We are working on that though. To start off, here’s a shroom tank for our dear friend, madizzythemushroommama to celebrate her new book. Go, Izzy!

Take good care of yourselves and each other. It’s mad world out there and only love can conquer hate.
