Monorail Media 2.0 | Having recently moved closer to the magic and able to explore the true depths of our depravity, we are relaunching Monorail Media 2.0 after a year of dormancy. In that space and time, we have decided to take a different direction with Monorail Media and make it part aggregate for all the wonderful blogs already out there, part blog– in essence a giant blog roll with some reall

y cool features. It will take time to develop, details may change and we welcome suggestions. Your suggestions might be, “Hey here is a blog you guys should include”, and of course, you will have provided the link and a little here’s-why. Other suggestions could include widgets, plugins, programs, short code, embeds or a really great concept for layout. Likewise, if you don’t want your blog on here, please just say so. Essentially, we are trying to highlight some of the best Disney blogs out there, in one place, and post some of our own musings to voice our personality and connect with the rest of the fan community (read: Disney Addicts) out there.

Disneyland Half, completes the Coast-to-Coast and races for the next few weeks! This race, one week after the Disney World Marathon and D***y felt easier. The weather, rest, and course were on point! California has been good to us. Next up Celebration Half!

Lots of pain, fun, and gratefulness ahead… 5K was a good warm up and, indeed warm. 10K was a quick little race with super cool temps. Half was cut short by Disney to 7.1 miles due to potential tornadoes 🌪️ The full marathon was my own personal sh*tshow, dizzy from mile 2 and seizing calves. I swam/ran through Magic Kingdom when the skies opened up… with a very dedicated and encouraging husband by my side. It was my worst marathon ever, but I finished and am really thankful for his support, the health of mind and body to run all weekend. Oh, and shout out to the blue shirt guy who turned around at Mile 18 and encouraged me with a knowing look that offered the simple comfort of being understood in that exact moment. Undeterred and always in the face of better judgement, I will be back next year! Right now, I am getting ready to run the half this coming weekend. Runners are a weird bunch— I get it. I think we agree that running is the spectrum of the human experience in however long your race is. Oddly, in that delirium we muster the a window of clarity, during and after our runs, that make it worth the pain, doubt, and frustration. You come out stronger every time.
