I couldn’t find the words to type out Saturday when we found out about Hugh “Tuff” Blanton’s passing. After a few days of speaking with others in the music industry and reminiscing, I really wanted to honor Tuff’s memory and the legacy he leaves behind. You see, in this business, you meet a lot of people, band members come and go for numerous reasons, but most remain friends. This business is a family.
Tuff was a super talented guy, one heck of a musician, but even more than that, he was a great friend and family man. Tuff was just one of those people who made the world a better place. We were devastated when he got sick, hoping and praying for healing, Healing just didn’t come the way we wanted it to.
Please keep the family and friends of Tuff in your thoughts and prayers as they walk this difficult journey in the days, weeks and months ahead.
Cat5 will be sharing the service online for those who want to attend but are unable.
We love you, Tuff. We will join you in that heavenly band one day.
