The word is getting out about the GINKGO GALORE™ Art + Music Festival

Already this week, we headed to the WKYT 27 Everyday Kentucky studios in Lexington, KY to talk about what’s coming to Wilmore this fall.

Devin D. Marks had such a delightful conversation with
Amber Kennoy - WKYT about Wilmore’s ginkgo story and what visitors can expect on October 24.

The interview will air in October, to help build awareness across Kentucky about a day of art, music, and more for families in “The Ginkgo Capital of America!”

A big THANK YOU to Visit Jessamine and Charla Reed for helping make connections like this happen and for continuing to champion Wilmore and Jessamine County.

And yes, Goldie the ginkgo mascot came along too.

You know, it’s funny. Asbury Theological Seminary newest campus community member made the trip to the studio and may be developing a taste for television!

We are so honored to have him joining the GINKGO GALORE team as we prepare to launch.

Thank you to Grace Rug Gallery Gallery, a 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 of the GINKGO GALORE Arts + Music Festival.

A leader in heirloom-quality floor coverings, Grace Rug Gallery has long been a trusted source for 100% hand-knotted wool rugs.

Owners Hassan and Christina Rahimi bring generations of knowledge to their work, offering heirloom-quality rugs along with expert cleaning and restoration.

For Hassan, the craft is deeply personal. “This business has been in my family for generations. I love sharing my knowledge with customers and employees.”

And this year, Hassan is weaving that tradition directly into GINKGO GALORE.

He has designed and commissioned multiple original rugs that were hand-crafted in Afghanistan, India, and Turkey. Among the collection are pieces being entered into the festival’s artisan competition curated by the Lexington Art League.

Grace Rug Gallery will also be an exhibitor at the festival. What’s more, Hassan’s rugs will help transform Gallery Ginkgo, a month-long art collection and event series housed inside Wilmore’s historic granary warehouse.

We are grateful for Hassan’s generous sponsorship and for the many ways he has helped shape the GINKGO GALORE experience over the last year.
