We are excited to announce that Monty's Home has signed up to join us again this year.
Monty's Home is a wonderful local rescue to Wilmington, named after a once-in-a-lifetime therapy golden retriever named Monty that succumbed to cancer on October 6, 2006. They are a rescue that saves dogs and finds them loving homes and also have their Pawsitive Partners Prison Program (PPPP) which is the first companion dog prison training program in Southeastern North Carolina. Dogs from local shelters are temperament tested, spay/neutered and then enter prison for eight weeks of obedience training by specially selected inmates. Pawsitively Pugs Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of unwanted, abandoned, neglected and abused pugs, giving each a second chance at a loving and caring forever home. PPR accepts pugs regardless of their age, temperament or medical condition.

Thank you to everyone for your help and to Lost Dog Recovery. Foster Mom was able to locate her in the woods and bring her home.
-No sightings as of 12/1
-We have a tracker coming in tomorrow to help find her.
-We are grilling out around the perimeter in hopes she will come to the smell of food
-Trail cameras set up
-Increasing the perimeter of the flyers by a mile today
-Can't set traps until we have a sighting

All are 12 week old, female lab(?) mixes, and are spayed, UTD on vaccines, wormed multiple times and microchipped.
They are good in a crate and good with other dogs and cats. They are well adjusted and very happy and healthy puppies! They love the water and would make "pawsome" beach companions! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 ,the 2020 event has been cancelled BUT... we remain committed to helping the animal rescue community and will be hosting a VIRTUAL fundraiser this year, complete with a 5k/run option and silent auction. Sign up for the virtual run on our EVENTS PAGE and stay tuned for more info on the amazing items available in the auction!
