“Every year it starts the same way… 😂

‘We’re not doing too much this year… just something small for the kids.’

Sounds simple enough.

Fast forward a couple days:
• 30+ kids confirmed
• A dozen adults who were ‘just stopping by’ (and stayed the whole time)
• A few extra guests nobody planned for
• One Bluetooth speaker doing its absolute best
• Not nearly enough tables
• A cake slowly melting under pressure

Now it’s hot, it’s loud, kids are everywhere, and somehow one uncle has taken over the grill like he’s running the entire event.

But here’s the part that always comes back around…

Same parents say:
‘Next year we’re going all out.’

Next year arrives… and somehow it’s:
‘We’re keeping it simple again this year.’ 😂

At some point, “simple” turns into stressful.

If you’re going to throw a party… make it feel like a party.

Let the kids enjoy it.
