Onslow Model Railroaders is one of the clubs participating in this years Trainfest. Located in Jacksonville, North Carolina, they will be displaying their beautiful modular N-Scale layout set in Pennsylvania during the autumn. Also in attendance from Jacksonville is Brandon Fitzpatrick's HO scale switching Layout depicting the port of Morehead City as it was in the early 2000's. Look out for both of these great layouts at this years Trainfest!

When it comes to interactivity at this years Trainfest, you can't get much better than the displays presented by Intracoastal Model Railroad Club. Located out of Calabash, NC. Intracoastal will be in full force at the show with several interactive layouts, including O-27 layouts with viewer operated accessories, and the S scale Calabash Terminal switching layout among others. In addition, Intracoastals own Monte Heppe will be heading the program of modeling clinics that will be taking place throughout the show. If you're looking to expand your skills as a model railroader, or just get a chance to run some trains yourself, Intracoastal Model Railroaders have you covered! One of the biggest organizations involved in presenting this years Trainfest is the Wilmington Railroad Museum. Trainfest will be held right next door to the museum in the Coastline Conference Center, allowing our guests to also experience everything the museum has to offer as part of the Trainfest experience, including the museums massive and award winning HO scale layout. Admission to the WRRM is included with the purchase of your ticket to Trainfest and is valid over the course of the Weekend (Apr. 23-24 2016). Additionally, The museums Modular layout "Wilmington Waterfront" will be on display in the main hall of the Conference center, showcasing a beautiful recreation of the area around Wilmington as it was more than 60 years ago!

Very disappointed this year, not nearly as interesting and worthwhile as last year's. Probably won't be back. I'll stick with the Myrtle Beach and Charleston shows.
