Soldering it all together! The next steps after I will not do a video for…. Just attaching the chain with the closure (I like toggle closures), then I put it all into liver of silver for a slightly darkened/tarnished look, and finally putting the Atlantisite into the bezel and the Fulgerite into it’s setting and close the prongs. Stay tuned for the final piece!

Next, I wanted to recreate some smaller veins of lightening that you see in the sky, coming off the main lightening bolts.

The next step is creating a little nest for the fulgurite to sit in. Fulgurite is very fragile, so this will protect it from breaking. I use the repousse method to create the odd shaped half tube. It really comes in handy when you have to create odd shaped pieces of metal; you can really get detail shapes that you cannot get with regular shaping tools.
