Please support our friends the Martin County Arts Council!

We were honored to receive a Military and Veteran Healing Arts Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council for FY 2025/2026. Several veterans and veteran family members took a photography class under the direction of William Ahearn.

It's coming up to time to see what they have learned. Their work will be shown at the same time as our annual Photography Show. We can't wait to see what they have created using photography as a powerful healing art form to process trauma, reduce anxiety, and reconnect with their surroundings.

🎭 A Remarkable Honor for MCHS Theatre 🎭

We are proud to share some exciting and well-deserved recognition for Chris Veneris! This past weekend, he was inducted into the North Carolina Educational Theatre Association Hall of Fameβ€”a tremendous honor celebrating his lasting impact on theatre education across our state.

With over 20 years as a theatre educator, Mr. Veneris has dedicated his career to inspiring students, growing theatre programs, and advocating for the arts. His leadership has extended far beyond the classroom, including serving as State Director for NC Thespians and helping launch initiatives such as the All-State Show, Thespian Filmworks, and multiple statewide awards recognizing excellence in theatre education.

This recognition speaks to a career rooted in passion, service, and a deep commitment to students and the arts.

Please join us in congratulating Chris Veneris on this incredible achievement! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰
