Here's my new woodcut block print that will be included with a limited edition Obits vinyl record release by Outer Battery Records!
It's a new design inspired by the album cover's original illustration by the late Rick Froberg, one of my all-time favorite musicians (in Obits, Hot Snakes, and Drive Like Jehu) and illustrators. It's a larger print size and a larger edition than I have typically done, so it's one of the biggest projects I've been involved with in a lot of ways.
I've been taking some short videos throughout the carving process, and I hope to share some of those soon along with some videos of the printing process.
The extra limited presale of the clear record with the included print sold out in the first 24 hours, but there are still a few of the limited edition clear vinyl records available (without the print) at the Outer Battery Records website!
