📣🎶 Meet one of our Dwight Beckham Young Soloist Winners: College Division

Meet Seth Balzer, a Junior at Bethel College studying Music Performance. In high school, Seth received four-year awards in both South Dakota All-State Band and South Dakota All-State Orchestra, and will later be participating in the Kansas Intercollegiate Band. Whether he is performing in one of his ensembles or continuing to grow as a tubist, Seth continues to chase his passion for music.

Come out and enjoy Seth’s beautiful rendition of Alexey Lebedev’s Concerto No. 1 on Tuba with the NMKSO on Sunday, February 15th at 4pm!

📣 🎶 Meet one of our Dwight Beckham Young Soloist winners: High School Division

Meet Ryan Antle, a Senior at Newton High School. Ryan has been the Principal Horn player for the Wind Ensemble for the past two years and won 2nd chair in the SCKMEA District Honor Band. He currently studies horn with Chris Miertschin at Bethel College. Next year he plans to attend Wichita State University to major in Structural engineering.

Ryan Antle will be performing the First Movement of the Concerto for Horn & Orchestra, Op. 11 by Richard Strauss on Sunday, February 15th at 4pm. Come out and support your local young musicians!
