Anyone can buy microphones, preamps, plugins, etc. But you can't buy dedication, craftsmanship, and service. That has to be built on your own.

It's not enough just to assemble a pile of files into a track. It takes whatever time it takes, and I don't stop until I'm completely happy with it. I rarely go back and listen to an earlier project and think, oh man, wish I would have done this and this and this... I only turn loose of it once it has completely destroyed me, and there is nothing left to give to the track. And only now, is it a song.

A great mix just pops out of the speakers. You can see the music floating in front of you, around you. Its in your head, in your face, and in your soul. Its telling you a story. That's what a great mix is to me.
