Invite any former players from Arrowhead Cardroom or Winners Cardroom to join me at the all new Winners Gameroom just North of Douglas on West st. 126 N West St....games at 10, Noon, and 2pm then again at 5 and 7 with all kinds of games in between...play spades, shoot pool, snooker, shuffleboard on our antique later this week. Poker players please note: WE now have a place for poker players of all types right here in Wichita. If you are a live Cash player you need to go to the Kansas Star Casino where gambling is legal. If you want to play cash but not at Ks Star, there is always Oklahoma or Missouri and its prolly legal. If you want to have a PRIVATE "Home game" you could host or attend one of those if you like to roll the dice against Kansas law. Where there is liquor you cant have gambling period and Kansas says poker is gambling and you dont have to agree but we need to comply to stay on this side of those bars (jail) Read up on consequences of "Rico Act" and things get real clear if you study the facts.
If you like to play cash tournaments they are also totally legal at the Star and if you smoke its the only place that SHOULD offer that service. Again, if there is alcohol there cant be even a chair rental outside the Star by law. If you love poker but cant afford to pay to play and want away from that smoke there are a couple of places you can play totally free...and LEGAL until every smokeshop etc or game machine outlet wants to start a free poker game . Seneca street Bowling alley is perfect example of legal free, non smoking poker tournaments. Since its totally free they can even pay money out to winners...legally I wont mention the few other spots that may offer this cause I dont know. I have been playing at the alley since we closed April 20. When newcomers try to enter the restricted territory of poker gaming without a clear understanding they get shut down or if an old reliable family business forgets that liquor and gambling dont mix they get shut down. Nothing is broke here I got panicked and shut down a perfectly running 6+ year business that was helping support families from my own stupidity...no one was bothering us and we werent bothering anybody the police were welcome as need be to assist in their local neighborhood investigations...heck we had 6 in one day to look at our security video footage from day before to identify a thief from flea market. Best thin I did was close. Gave me time to see where things went wrong and it was US , not them (local and state authorities) so now with the rules clearly as they were in the beginning I will either get away from the poker business or resume as a free poker venue in new location not to be "out there and in your face" I simply want to get back to a bunch of old fools playin cards and shootin pool...and snooker, and spades and church on Sunday mornin.....Watch for updates as we set up whatever we decide to do going forward. Dont believe rumors if you hear Arrowhead LTD LLC is involved inything but totally legal entertainment It aint gonna be true. If you hear that theres a cool new group that is going to be giving back financially and spiritually in a great neighborhood as stanly says "Beleed dat" instead. We are just opening this sister cardroom to The Longstanding Arrowhead Poker Cardroom and more recent Winners Cardroom. Wichita Poker will have daily Tournaments at 10 am, 3pm and 7pm varying from Totally Free "Freerolls" to $10 chair rental Tournaments and various "Sit N Go" options all day long. While there is no smoking in the Cardroom, the adjoining.Gameroom " Puf n Play", will have indoor smoking so when its cold outside our players can stay warm and enjoy a smoke next door.
