I did it!! We did it! I drove all the way to Lenexa to grab a male Super Red Long Fin Pleco from J&K’s Fish Room to breed with the female I bought from them about six months earlier at The Wichita Fish Swap. That was a month ago? I was hoping Dad wasn’t just in the cone for no reason and he wasn’t. He was caring for the kids! The photos suck but I don’t care! So happy!!

Thank you. Thank you to all the vendors, everyone's support, everyone that came to the Wichita Fish Swap yesterday. I learned so much yesterday. I got to put names to faces and learned how to possibly make the next swap smoother. I am human so I make mistakes, but for my first try, I am happy with how it went. It was so cool to see a group of people of all ages, races, religions, and background, come together and all work together. Everyone offered to help yesterday and in the future. Our kids could learn a lot from it. Our kids will hopefully take on the hobby and make it even greater. I just can't express how humbled I was yesterday. A great community of people all wanting to help others out. Thank you, God Bless you all, and I will see you in a few months for the next Wichita Fish Swap! Gt

🐠 **We’re almost there!!!**

This Saturday, September 12th, is our day, fellow hobbyists!

I want to give a heartfelt Thank You to everyone who has helped bring the Wichita Fish Swap together. It’s still a little surreal for me to be leading this event. I only got back into the hobby a couple of years ago, and now look where I am! 😂

I attended my first fish swap last year and couldn’t wait for the next one. I went home with so much cool stuff, but what I enjoyed most was being surrounded by people who were just like me and shared the same passion.

As someone on this page said perfectly: **“It may be a kid’s hobby, but now I have an adult budget!”**

Since this is my first time organizing the swap, I may have missed the mark by just a smidge on a surprise. I wanted our vendors and staff to have a keepsake from the event. The badges turned out a little smaller than I imagined—but I’ll get them just right for the next swap!

I’ll continue sharing updates throughout the week. Vendors and staff, the doors will open at **11:00 a.m. this coming Saturday** for setup.

I can’t wait to see everyone there!
