Once again, here is the email sent to Dakota News Now KOTA Territory News Black Hills Pioneer, and more:

Hello,

My name is Brandi Martin, and I’m reaching out because what is happening to me in this county goes far beyond a property disagreement. It has become a pattern of harassment, intimidation, and what appears to be coordinated misuse of authority — and I believe the public deserves to know.

I am a mother, a former Disney and gaming industry professional, and a small business owner trying to open a safe, family‑friendly airsoft field on my own property. My goal is simple: to give local kids, families, and service members a place to be active, use their imagination, and enjoy something fun and affordable in our community.

I’ve done everything right: • Full perimeter netting and overhead protection • Strict FPS limits and field rules • Limited hours (2.5 days a week) • Only 20 rental kits and capped player counts • Recycled buses and tires from local businesses — reducing waste, not creating it

Despite this, several neighbors have launched an aggressive campaign to shut me down, claiming covenant violations — even though I have extensive photographic evidence showing they themselves are violating the same covenants. I am the only one being targeted.

It’s important to note that not a single one of these neighbors has ever spoken to me. Not once. No one has asked about my safety measures, my field rules, my netting, my overhead protection, or my plans to paint and improve the appearance of the field. No one has asked a question, raised a concern, or even waved. Instead of communicating with me directly, they went straight to process servers, accusations, and escalating legal pressure.

And that’s where this story becomes something much bigger.

One of my neighbors is police officer Hunter Bradley, and based on my experience, he appears to be influencing the opposition both in and outside his official capacity. What has happened since he became involved is alarming.

Three different process servers. Three escalating incidents. A clear pattern.

May 5 — First process server A male server delivered papers at my home. He later filed false statements claiming I refused to come to the door and slammed it in his face. I have video proving this is untrue. He never asked for me, handed papers to my husband, and walked away. He was through our gate before we even closed the door.

May 8 — Female process server A woman I had never met came to my property while I was out and keyed my truck. I have this on video. She repeatedly demanded I tell her where I was in Rapid City so she could “come to me,” but refused to identify herself or explain anything. It felt unsafe and predatory.

That same day, Tony Bradley — Hunter’s father, a former Deadwood police officer and now a process server — appeared outside my daughter’s school and stared me down intensely. The timing did not feel coincidental.

May 9 — Tony Bradley serves me at my property When we arrived at our property in Whitewood, Tony Bradley was already at Hunter’s house. He printed paperwork there, then drove two driveways down to my property.

Despite knowing exactly where I was, he drove directly toward my 14‑year‑old daughter and attempted to engage with her first. She was frightened and ran to me.

I saw his truck and heard him shouting my name. I asked who he was and began walking toward him. He continued yelling “Come here” in a commanding, police‑style tone — not the neutral tone of a process server, but the tone of someone issuing an order.

When I reached him, he said, “You’ve been served.” I told him, “I’ve already been served. How many times can I be served the same paperwork that isn’t even filed with the court?”

And the paperwork itself raises serious questions — questions I tried to get answers to immediately.

On May 6, the very next morning after the first server came, I went straight to the courthouse to verify whether the documents were legitimate. I immediately followed up. Nothing had been filed. I went to multiple departments. Still nothing.

Yet the paperwork claimed I was “evading service.”

It also listed my husband as “Travis Martin.” That person does not exist.

The documents said I had 30 days to respond.

But today, I received a call and email from Hunter Bradley’s attorney with a newly filed temporary restraining order — with a hearing in 10 days. When I went back to the clerk of courts, it was finally filed. This order attempts to push my opening date even further back.

There have also been incidents that feel like attempts to set me up. One day, we returned to the property and found a ma*****na joint placed inside one of my buses — right inside the door. We were not on the property at the time. The placement felt deliberate.

The stress has been so severe that I was hospitalized last week.

I am a mother and a small business owner trying to build something positive for this community. Instead, I feel like I am being intimidated, targeted, and silenced by people who believe they can operate without accountability.

I have photos, videos, timestamps, court records, and documentation for every part of this story.

This is not just about an airsoft field. This is about power, intimidation, and selective enforcement in our county.

I am asking your newsroom to shine a light on this — because sunlight is the only thing that stops this kind of behavior.

I am available for interviews and can provide all evidence upon request.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely, Brandi Martin

The previous post had been taken down at the formal request of legal counsel. Apparently, the truth was causing some discomfort. See you in court

Just want to give everyone a heads up- our netting didn’t arrive until yesterday, it was supposed to have been delivered a week ago. With over 1400 feet of it to put up we’re going to have to postpone the first game until the 22nd.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but safety is paramount and we need to make sure the game stays on the field! Looking forward to meeting all of you in person 🫡

Ok, so don’t hold me to every floor layout (it’s going to be modular so we can change it regularly) but this is the rough layout of the field. Those buildings are 12x12, 12x24, and 24x24, and yes those are divided rooms!
The three fields we are planning on having open this year are the Military Outpost (End of April), Dictator’s Palace- a 60x72 villa with courtyard, Gun Boats, anti aircraft technical, and Smugglers Yacht, and Wasteland- a Fallout inspired town with period correct vehicles and apocalyptic theme.
Our Connex field will hopefully be completed next year to complete the entire facility.
Rental equipment for up to 30 players will be available and we will be scheduling private events as well as our normal operating schedule!
