Last semester, I had a chance to explore Historical Millinery in “Costume Crafts.”
During the Victorian and Edwardian eras, elaborate fabric bonnets and silk top hats were constructed by stitching textiles over rigid foundations—such as buckram—or pre-formed wire millinery frames.
Here is my take on a Late 19th Century Ladies hat.
