Wet Mountain Valley Happenings is showing incorrect information about a Flea Market event happening at Beckwith Ranch and I can’t get them to print a retraction. We apologize for any confusion this may create for folks as we work through this. The event is actually our Open Air Market that will take place on Sept 19th from 9:00-2:00 as all of our other market events have been. We look forward to seeing you there for our final Open Air Market for this year.

Many residents of the Wet Mountain Valley will be familiar with both of our featured consignors this week.

First up is:
Local Artist, Jeanene V. Parker is an American oil painter known for her vibrant landscapes, seascapes, and plein air works, often capturing the beauty of Colorado’s high country and other natural settings. Her art reflects a deep connection to the outdoors, with many pieces inspired by personal travels and seasonal changes in the landscapes.
We are so fortunate to have a lovely collection of her artwork in our little shop.

Next is:
The Westcliffe Honey Company. This is locally produced 100% pure raw honey. Small batch, Never Heated, Never Filtered, from hive to jar. We also carry a small selection of their Creamy Honey., featuring Blueberry and Elderberry.

We are so thankful to have these two wonderful consignors as well as all the other talented local consignors. Be sure to stop by and support all of our consignors as well as our Historic Beckwith Ranch.

We are so excited to present two new consignors at The Guest House Gift Shop at the Historic Beckwith Ranch.
First up is Rebecca Ryan from Ridding Double LLC.
Rebecca creates beautiful leather pieces. Her attention to detail is amazing. We have pillows, placemats, and handmade sunglass cases.

Next, we have Ben Duncan. He creates unique knives from unusual materials. We have hand knapped knives made from glass, bone, and obsidian. This young man is extremely talented, and we are thrilled to have his art in our little shop.

Filter Press Books has published Southwest and Colorado history for educators and the casual historian since 1956.

We wish to thank everyone who came out to the Beckwith Ranch to enjoy the Rockin’ the Ranch festival that was sponsored by the Wet Mountain Rotary club. People enjoyed good music, tasty libations and were fed delicious dishes created by our hardworking Beckwith volunteers.
Thanks to Jimmy in the Blacksmith shop and Ben for being an excellent runner for us.
Although we had wind and a bit of a downpour for a few minutes, the party carried on and the sun soon returned. Mountain people can handle it!
Your donations are very much needed and appreciated!

Hello from the Guest House Gift Shop at the Historic Beckwith Ranch.
We are proud to introduce a very talented author today.

Sherry Skye Stuart

Sherry Skye Stuart has lived in the Rocky Mountains for over fifty years, spending a significant portion of that time in Fremont County, Colorado.

Sherry has authored four books on the history of Penrose and Fremont County, as well as edited another history book related to the area. Her writing often delves into the stories of marginalized women in history, including those who have been overlooked or forgotten. She has a particular interest in the lives of "ladies of the evening," female felons, and the narratives surrounding old cemeteries
