So, about a month ago, after some backlash about the choice of performers for the Saturday night portion of the World Famous Armadillo Festival, we jokingly made a post saying that WE had already been chosen as the headline act for the Saturday portion of the 2027 edition, specifically mentioning we were bringing the METAL to Ashley County. Well...nobody really got the joke. In fact, the response was overwhelmingly positive! And here's a fun fact: The very first Arkay show was an acoustic set that we did, on the square, at the 2008 Armadillo Festival!! Talk about a full-circle moment that could be! And if we would be fortunate enough to grace the stage on that weekend next year, we'll bring out the full production, our risers, lights, backdrops, the whole bit - something we haven't been able to do since 2022 - and give Ashley County a proper rock show!!
