Hi Friends! Hope you are all doing well. I haven't run this page & the Cinematheque community for a while (since 2017) as I'm fully occupied with my doctoral study. I have been in contact with some people who showed interest in keeping *Cinematheque for all* running at Purdue & Lafayette community. If you are interested, or know someone who are passionate in films & have the time to organize, please send them my way! It's really not time-consuming, and I can talk you more on how to do this. I missed and loved our weekly movie night on campus, and believe so many of you do too. With all that, I really appreciate you spreading the word to friends in the Lafayette area who would be willing to continue this lovely and unique community!! 🎬🎬🎬🎬 -- April

Hi Everyone - the movie "Lunchbox", which is supposed to be screened tonight, is cancelled. April will be out of town tonight and can't find anyone to sub in for the screening. However, we hope to see many of you next Tuesday in "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time".

So excited about the screening of another Andrei Tarkovsky's film - "The Sacrifice" - on March 7!! "The Sacrifice is so dependent upon its visuals and overall mood that any attempt at a detailed synopsis would be woefully inadequate. The willingness of Tarkovsky's protagonist to forego all his possessions may well have sprung from the cancer-ridden director's awareness that he, too, would soon be giving up everything to face his Maker. The Sacrifice won four awards at the Cannes Film Festival, including the Grand Prix." (Rotten Tomatoes)
