Maine Whitewater Championship Since 2012, Maine Whitewater Championship has been hosting kayak races on two of Maine's most awesome rivers, the Kennebec & Penobscot.

Join us on the Kennebec 08/10/24 and the Penobscot 08/17/24. You don't want to miss it! The Maine Whitewater Championship is dedicated to supporting New England's whitewater community, through competition on 2 of New England's hardest recreational rivers. Whitewater enthusiasts will enjoy not only a race, but a community-based event as well. Each event is followed by an awards ceremony and enterta

RACE IS ON!

Race day info:

Registration is 8-9:30. Please show up early to make registration is seamless. Registration is day-of only and $30 (cash). Remember there is no cell service here so cash apps do not work. First 20 racers will get a limited-edition T-shirt, so be EARLY!

Safety meeting: 10am - All safety and racers must be present

Chandler Mill time trials start at 11am. Each racer will have two runs. After your first run, boogie back up to the top to make sure you’re in line for the second!

Smalls Falls time trials are slated to begin at 1pm, again racers will have two runs to lay down a fast time. Fastest time counts

Race times are fluid, as we have to ensure time for safety team to be set up for each race
