Washington County Theatre Works was honored to partner once again with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Peer Support Team this week for their scenario-based training.
Our actors worked in two groups along with the Peer Support Team to create realistic, emotionally charged simulations so staff could practice crisis intervention skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Theatre is about humanity: reading emotions, listening deeply, and responding with empathy. Using those same skills to support the people who show up for our community on its hardest days is something we’re incredibly proud of.
Thank you to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the entire Peer Support Team for the important work you do — and for inviting Washington County Theatre Works into this meaningful training experience again.
