Today was a BIG day in my esthetician journey. 🤍✨
Today we had the opportunity to perform facials on our family and friends—without our instructor telling us what to do every step of the way. And I’m not going to lie… I was NERVOUS! 😩
I kept going over everything in my head: Did I prep correctly? Do I remember my steps? Can I properly analyze the skin? Am I choosing the right products? Have I really retained everything we’ve learned these past few weeks?
But today was about trusting what I’ve learned and trusting myself.
And the best part? My client was my husband. ❤️
This man has NEVER had a facial before, but more importantly, he has been one of my biggest supporters since the day I started this esthetician journey.
He has seen the late nights after work when I still had homework to finish. He has seen me exhausted, overwhelmed, and even going to bed crying because I questioned whether I had made a mistake starting a second career. There were moments when I wondered if I was good enough or if I could really do this.
But every time I doubted myself, he reminded me:
“Never quit. Always give it your best, and if it doesn’t work out, at least you can say you tried.”
Those words have carried me through more days than he probably realizes.
So today, having HIM on my table meant so much more than simply performing a facial. I wanted to show him what I’ve learned. I wanted him to see that all those late nights, tears, studying, practicing, and moments of doubt were leading somewhere.
Most of all, I wanted to make him proud. 🥹❤️
And today, I realized something too…
I CAN DO THIS.
I still have so much to learn, but little by little, I’m becoming more confident in my hands, my knowledge, and the esthetician I am becoming.
Thank you, babe, for never allowing me to give up on myself—even during the moments when I wanted to.
Another milestone down. Another step closer to my dream. ✨
Trust the process. Keep showing up. And never quit on yourself. 🤍
