One of the biggest misconceptions in event planning is how quickly the “little things” add up.

For a 200-person event, your budget isn’t just paying for pretty decor. It can include rentals, florals, signage, labor, delivery, setup, breakdown, staffing, custom pieces… and sometimes getting everything up to the 78th floor. 😅

While this is just a skit and not based on real life events, I DO GET THESE SORT OF CALLS DAILY!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a smaller budget, we just have to make sure the vision and the budget are speaking the same language.

And sometimes… that means I need a minute on the couch first. 😂🤯

Did you know that your chairs are probably too far under the table 👀

A tiny detail that makes a BIG difference in your tablescape ✨

When setting a table, your chairs shouldn’t be pushed all the way underneath it. Instead, position them so the front of the chair is just barely touching or “kissing” the linen.

Why? Because pushing them too far in bunches up the linen, hides the chairs, and can make an otherwise beautiful tablescape look cramped.

Pulling them out just slightly gives your table room to breathe, keeps the linen falling beautifully, and creates that polished, professionally styled look. 🤌🏼
