Fun facts about the Amazon Milk Tree Frogs. They're called milk tree frogs because when they feel threatened they release a milky substance from their skin to scare off predators. Another cool thing about them is that their bones are completely blue! One of the triplets last night was in a good position on the glass for me to snap a picture and you can see some of their skeleton through their skin. The darker blue lines along the legs? Those are actually the bones! How amazing is that?!

Snailees got an upgrade in housing. Even after I was done with this video, I can see the snails exploring all over their new home. If you're wondering if the snails and isopods will compete for food, yes and no. If I place fresh veggies in there for the snails, the isopods will undoubtedly eat it too. But the isopods feed on all kinds of decaying matter, leaves, moss, fungi, etc. The snails will eat way more of the fresh veggies and the isopods will eat everything else.

Happy gotcha day Joltik!! Its been a year now since I got this tiny speck of a tarantula. He's had a few molts since then and I am loving how his coloring is finally coming through. The golden knees that his species is known for will only get more vibrant as the rest of him will darken.

Meet Flareon. (S)he is an albino pacman frog. The kiddo wanted to name them after eevee but I convinced him to agree to Flareon because of the coloring. We're very happy to fill in the empty slot that Raichu left us.

We have a sad announcement. Today we discovered our pacman frog, Raichu, has passed. We try our hardest to provide for them and meet all their needs, but sometimes we cant stop nature from taking its course. All we can do is try to learn from the experience and ensuring all our other critters are well taken care of. I am acquiring a new pacman frog since I wanted one for my events. It may seem heartless, but I do have a budding business to start and have a model in mind.
