I thought I would share a little update on Tate. For the last three weeks, he has not been able to start his immunotherapy because, despite his transfusions, his white blood cells and red blood cells are not staying where they need to be. This is delaying his treatment and it’s honestly, been depressing to him because he can’t get to maintenance phase without the immunotherapy.
All of this also means that the trips to St. Louis (288 miles one way) will not be reduced for at least another month. It costs at least $400 per month just to DRIVE there and back. That doesn’t include the driving around St. Louis for the appointments, etc. That’s assuming we don’t have to get a room and not including eating away from home.
All of our regular household bills are coming in and I’m sure you know that utility bills are skyrocketing. We are in a tight spot financially. Now, the car we use to drive back and forth needs two tires (one keeps going flat)
Throw in oil changes, belts, and other maintenance and it really adds up.

I apologize that I have been less available. Our son has been fighting Leukemia for 13 months. We have been traveling weekly 300 miles to St. Louis so he can receive treatment. I appreciate those of you who have remained loyal and stuck it out with us. It’s not easy to put on a happy face when your family is going through hell. Just know that the parties you attend help us fund the weekly trips to St.Louis and helps support our family while Mike and Tate can’t work. We appreciate all of you. 🧡

Come out and paint today at the Longhorn Bar in Webb City! 2:00-4:00. $25 for all of the materials and the lesson. You not only support two local small businesses, but you help us raise money to help our son in his battle with Leukemia. It’s a win win! Have fun and help people!

ATTENTION: I have two public paint parties scheduled this month. The proceeds go to help with expenses for our son’s leukemia treatments in St. Louis. Please join us for one or both! Sunday the 8th in Webb City at the Longhorn Bar at 2:00 or Saturday the 21st at 2:00 at the Ok Bar in Joplin. Please help us by joining in the fun!
The party at the Longhorn in Webb City is $25 and the one at the OK Bar is $30 and includes your first drink. All materials and the two hour lesson is included.
