May 31 is this year's live QUICKDRAW art event that puts art supplies on teacher shelves and helps kids get to college. This year's QD artists include some fresh faces and some gifted stalwarts not afraid to paint in the public eye. Plus alumni artists helping the cause (like Grace, so sparks won't fly on wood at Laurel Ridge). THANK YOU!

Last night's Quick Draw of WNC auction for art education was a resounding success, selling out completely. The event was a deep dive into the world of art. Notably, not all contributing artists used traditional mediums; Cole Smather's floral arrangements brought a touch of fantasy to the Laurel Ridge Country Club.

Artist and Executive Board Member, Pamela Winn will be demonstrating her silk painting at the Quick Draw event—an art-while-you-watch extravaganza, art auction, and dinner happening, TOMORROW, June 15 in Waynesville from 4:30- 8:30 pm. This event is fascinating, fun, and jaw-dropping as you watch artists create in a live studio environment.

Artist members Barbara Brook, Susan Remi-Dawkins, Joyce Schlapkohl and HCAC's Executive Director, Tonya D. Harwood will be participating as "Race the Clock" artists.

There will be artwork up for auction, and the proceeds from your purchase will help fund art supplies in school classrooms and provide scholarships for students heading to college.
