Tri-County Concerts

Tri-County Concerts Outstanding chamber music on the Main Line since 1941

Founded in 1941, Tri-County Concerts is a non-profit classical music organization based in Delaware County, PA. Tri-County Concerts became known for bringing famous musicians to the community, as well as relatively unknown virtuosi who later became internationally renowned. Currently, we present a chamber concert series featuring brilliant young emerging artists, our Emerging Artists Series. Since

1942, we have also organized an annual Youth Festival, a competition for aspiring young musicians living in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

We’re excited to welcome bassoonist Eleni Katz and pianist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner this Sunday 🎼

In their “Stolen Gems” program, the duo reimagines beloved classics originally written for viola, flute, cello, orchestra, piano, and voice. Join them on a journey of discovery and to witness the bassoon as an opera diva, dancing the tango, navigating the streets of New York City, singing lullabies, falling in love, and more.

We especially love their rendition of Bernstein's “Tonight” from West Side Story. The concert is this Sunday, March 15 at 3 PM. We hope to see you there! 🌟

🎶 About the Artists — SWIPE →

Bassoonist Eleni Katz has been praised for her virtuosity and vibrant musical spirit. Described as “thoughtful and expressive” by the San Diego Union-Tribune, she has performed everywhere from the bright blue waters of Bermuda to the stage of Carnegie Hall. A winner of the 2022 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, Eleni has appeared with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest, and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Pianist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner, called “a gifted virtuoso” by the San Francisco Chronicle, is celebrated for his mesmerizing artistry and masterful technique. A First Prize winner of the Concert Artists Guild International Competition and a Gilmore Young Artist, his performances have been featured in The New York Times, CBS, PBS, NPR, CNN International, and more.

Together, Eleni and Llewellyn are acclaimed both as soloists and as a duo. As The Royal Gazette wrote of one performance: “Llewellyn’s technical and emotional mastery of the piano was absolute. Eleni’s bassoon sounded uncannily human in its singing tonality… her romantic bassoon the perfect foil for the piano.”
