Any dude that's used his own voice for broadcast, commercials, books, podcasts, announcing....had serious "voice envy" for James Earl Jones. As iconic a voice there has ever been. And each role he played in film....was one with purpose. Great man. Great talent. And, a story of great resolve. One of my heroes.

James Earl Jones, who played the voice of Darth Vader in the "Star Wars" films, died Monday. He was 93.

Homewood Suites in Salina is a very nice hotel. Even when the power goes out. Very accommodating staff.

However, climbing 5 flights of stairs with 2 backpacks full of computers because the elevator wasn't working....that's a lot for an old fat man.

Yet I survived.

Barely.
