EXTRA! EXTRA! AUDITIONS ARE OPEN!!!

Auditions for our upcoming production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are officially open! This is the full musical, not the junior version.

If you have auditioned with us before, you know we have historically used separate links for SignUpGenius and Google Forms. We know jumping between two platforms was clunky and time-consuming for busy parents.

To make your life easier, we have completely upgraded our system!

What’s new this season:
🔹One link, one form: You'll fill out your child's information, list conflicts, and pick your audition time slot all on the same screen.
🔹Smartphone headshots: You can now snap a quick photo of your child on your phone and upload it directly into the form to help our casting directors keep track of who is who while deliberating.
🔹Easy rescheduling: If your schedule changes, your confirmation email will include a personal edit link. You can change your audition time yourself without having to email us.
🔹No paperwork at the door: Once you hit submit, our system builds and can print a digital packet for the casting panel. You don't need to print anything at home.

🔹Fill out the online form, choose an open time slot for your child, and hit submit. You'll instantly receive an automated confirmation email with your time slot and audition details.
🔹Note: Once the show is officially cast, you will also be able to sign your digital cast waivers and registration paperwork through this same portal — no more manual paperwork packets!

⚔️ Calling all teens who love to perform (or want to try something new)! 🎭

Our final Summer Drama Camp begins Monday, and it's going to be a hilarious adventure through the world of Norse mythology!

In The Norse Mythology Ragnasplosion by Don Zolidis, students will bring to life a fast-paced comedy filled with Loki's outrageous antics, a Bachelor-style competition for Valhalla, and a delightfully ridiculous version of Ragnarok—the end of the world!

Led by Cindi Strobel, campers won't just act—they'll also help create the set, props, and costumes, making this a true hands-on theatre experience.

🦸 Every superhero has an origin story... and your child's could begin Monday at CWCT's Superhero Drama Camp!

If your 9–12-year-old loves to imagine, perform, laugh, and create, this is their chance to discover their inner superhero on stage. Is your young hero ready to save the day... and steal the spotlight?

Our Superhero Drama Camp begins Monday, July 13, at 1 p.m., and there's still time to join the adventure! Registration remains open until the camp begins.

Throughout the week, campers will dream up their own original superhero characters, perform hilarious skits, build confidence on stage, and discover that sometimes the greatest superpower is imagination.

Led by the incredible Cindi Strobel, this action-packed week wraps up with a fun Friday performance for family and friends!

🎭 Calling all young actors! Auditions are coming up for Summer Shakespeare in the Park! 🎭

We love seeing our Central Wisconsin Children’s Theatre performers grow, explore, and try new things — and this is a great opportunity to step outside the world of musicals and dive into straight drama, character work, and classic storytelling!

Our friends at River & Woods Theatre encourage our young actors (and teens!) to consider joining this summer’s Shakespeare in the Park experience!

✨ Children’s Troupe (Comedy of Errors, directed by Suzanne Stoltze): Young performers can explore Shakespeare in a fun, accessible way designed for kids.

✨ Adult Troupe (Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Cindi Strobel): Actors ages 16+ are welcome to audition for the adult company.

Performances will take place August 13, 14 & 15 at Stewart Park.

Whether your child is a seasoned performer or curious about trying something new, Shakespeare is a wonderful way to build confidence, strengthen acting skills, and discover a different side of theatre. 🎭

Can’t make the audition time? Video auditions are also available! Video submissions are due by end of day June 29.

Now that the curtain has closed on Mary Poppins, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, applauded our young performers, and supported youth theatre by spending time with us at the Veninga Theater. Your presence made this production truly special.

☂️ A Father's Day Message from Cherry Tree Lane ☂️

In every theatre company, there are a few things that make the magic possible:

A little imagination.
A bit of hard work.
And a whole lot of dads.

The dads who drive to rehearsals.
The dads who build sets.
The dads who move scenery, sell concessions, and cheer from the audience.
The dads who help their children find the courage to step into the spotlight.

Today, we celebrate all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who help our young performers discover just how extraordinary they can be.

As Mary Poppins herself might say, while a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, a supportive dad helps dreams take flight.
