When the day is quiet
and the wind is bold,

A perfect opportunity
for a short story to be told.

I grab my sketchbook, markers,
and my favorite pen.

A cup of tea, a cozy blanket,
and the perfect place to sit in the den.

It’s October,
and the vibe is clear.

Halloween decorations
are scattered far and near.

So today’s sketch
includes orange and black—

my perfect little
pumpkin patch stack. 🎃

Here’s a few things you might not know about me:

I don’t like following the rules. Don’t tell me that this color doesn’t go with another color. I like to experiment and play. That’s the fun of it.

I hate making perfect art. Meaning if I create a flower and the petals are all the same I have to go in and distress it. I like the messy.

My work areas are always a mess! Proof of creating. 😅

When I organize my supplies or even decorate my house. I prefer to thrift my items (not everything) but mostly. I feel it gives it more character. Plus those items hold stories that I cherish 💕

Proof not to throw away your scraps!

Using the packaging from Dina Wakley Media, a used up sheet of paper from her collection, her tags, and transparencies along with her new Filled Hearts stamp and I made myself a new cluster for my journal or I think I’m using this as the card for an upcoming gift. 💕

Here is my October photo challenge. I’ll be coming back and adding photos of my journal pages. 🎃
