Do you work for a tribe, nonprofit, corporation, school, university, cultural center, health organization, or other entity that has access to grant funding?
Have you been looking for educational, cultural, traditional arts, mental health, healing, wellness, or team-building activities for your community?
Sew Yup'ik offers qaspeq workshops, fish skin sewing workshops, nasqurrun (headdress) workshops, beading classes, and other traditional sewing opportunities throughout Alaska.
One of the best ways to host a Sew Yup'ik workshop is through grant funding. Many organizations are able to use grant funds to cover instructor fees, travel, materials, and other workshop expenses. This often allows participants to attend at no cost or for a very small registration fee.
My workshops have been hosted through cultural revitalization grants, behavioral health programs, youth programs, wellness initiatives, educational grants, and community development funding.
Workshops can support:
• Cultural preservation
• Traditional knowledge sharing
• Mental health and wellness
• Healing and resilience
• Youth engagement
• Community building
• Team building
• Intergenerational learning
If your organization is interested in bringing a Sew Yup'ik workshop to your community, please email me at [email protected] for more information.
