Lady Liv Ivarsdatter

I'm excited to say my Quqin just shipped. I really hope it arrives in time for Castle Wars!

As you know, Lady Liv Ivarsdatter is my Danish persona, and if you attend events, this is most likely who you will meet. However, due to a number of serendipitous events, a new alternate (special occasion) persona, Lady Liǔ, will appear at Castle Wars. If you haven't heard, there will be an extra-special Asian section of Artisan's life. I hope you'll come and visit! If all goes as planned.... one of the most exciting parts of the village, in my opinion, is the musical petting zoo being hosted by Tyme and Elizebeth Joy Tong. I'm really hoping my Quqin arrives in time to join the other instruments! You'll probably get to test it out with me and hear me play this ancient, very refined, Chinese instrument, very horribly.

If you don't know much about the beautiful Guqin, here is a short introduction video.

Enjoying our evening on this fabulous porch before tomorrow's Youth Activities at Meridies Grand Tournament. I think next year we need to make it an extra long weekend and maybe explore some of the nearby Tennessee State Parks... or just sit on this porch and watch the deer and other wildlife.

Calling all young scribes! Coronation Youth Activities for Meridies will be participating in the Scribal Challenge. This activity is designed to be enjoyable for youth of all age groups. We will begin at 10:00 a.m. and close at Noon.

We will have lined, illuminated scrolls with traceable text available for youth who are new to the scribal arts. Or, for those who are feeling especially brave, supplies will also be available for youth who would like to try creating their own scroll!

A special Youth Scribal Challenge category will be available for youth who complete a scroll during the youth activities. Bring your creativity and join us for a morning of artistic fun! The scroll will also be added to the Populace Choice category online!

Beginning at 1:00 p.m, the youth scribal activities will open to everyone—young and young at heart. Create beautiful scribal greeting cards that will be perfect for the upcoming holidays.

Starting at 1 p.m. we will also have a table available for those who would like to make a Meridies belt token.

Come explore the art of scribal work, make something special, and celebrate Fall Coronation 2026 with us!

** Please note that youth activities officially ends at noon so youth must be picked up by their parent or guardian at that time. If they wish to make greeting cards or a belt token, they must be accompanied with a parent or guardian.

Youth Activities for Meridies welcomes the youth and the young at heart as we honor the pride of Meridies and the inspiration found in one another!

Youth Activities will begin at 10 a.m. and end at noon.

Starting at 1 p.m. we welcome the populace to join as we make three special tokens:

- A Meridies populace belt token to proudly display our connection to the Kingdom.

- A custom inspiration token to give to someone who has inspired you. (Perhaps your favorite fighter, inspirational bard, or maybe that person you've never met before but you've witnessed them doing something that speaks to the dream we all share!)

- And close to my heart... one (or more) Meridies populace belt tokens to give to newcomers so that they may share in our fanfare and Meridian pride!

My goji berry bush is blooming!! I really thought it was in bad shape when it arrived; however it seems to be slowly recovering from it's shipment. Hopefully it will continue to thrive. I'd really like to bring it along as part of my Artisan's Life stand at Castle Wars.

Special love to all those who have been subjected to my evening Erhu concerts of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as well as other hit music for beginners for the last few days. I swear... it's getting better.
